Missy Denk, 17, of Poplar Grove appears in a publicity photo from the Chicago Mission ice hockey team. Denk, a student at North Boone High School, departs for Blaine, Minn. today to try out for the 2010 Winter Olympics women's hockey team. She is one of 100 players nationwide who have been invited to try out for the remaining open slots on the team. The 2010 Winter Olympics will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada beginning on February 12, 2010.
